Updates on Volunteers

Thanks to all of the parents who have reached out to volunteer. The response was amazing and if I haven't gotten back to you yet I will do so by the end of the week this week.

We still have not had any volunteers for the Events Committee. Here is a description of the Committee again: this person or group of people will be responsible for organizing Community Events for the Abingdon community. Events in the past have included Fall Festival, Movie Nights, International Night, and Holiday Shop. They will work with the Executive Board to decide which events are going to be held this year and will be responsible for planning and executing the events. We will also need many other volunteers to make each event a success.

  • Tuesday October 12: Abingdon PTA October meeting at 6:30pm via Zoom (Topic TBD)
